Praziquantel  Pyrantel Pamoate Febantel Dewormer Tablet for Dogs and Cats

Formulation

Each chewable contains:

Praziquantel 50mg

Pyrantel Pamoate 144mg

Febantel 150mg

Indication

This product is for treatment of mixed infections by nematodes and cestodes of the following species:

1.  Nematodes-Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxocara leonina(adult and late immature forms).

2.  Hookworms: Uncinaria  stenocephala,Ancylostoma caninum(adult).

3.  Whipworms: Trichuris vulpis (adults).

4.  Cestodes-Tapeworms：Echinococcus species, (E. granulosue,E. multicularis),Taenia species, (T. hydatigena, T.pisifomis, T.taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

Dosage

 For routine treatment:

A single dose is recommended. In case of young, they should be treated at 2 weeks of age and every 2 weeks until 12 weeks of age then repeat at 3-month intervals. It is  advisable to treat the mother with their young at the same time.

For the control of Toxocara:

Nursing mother should be dosed 2 weeks after giving birth and every 2 weeks until weaning.

15kg bodyweight=1 1/2 tablets

30kg bodyweight=3 tablets

Caution

Do not use with piperazine compounds simultaneously. To be administered orally or as instructed by our veterinarian. For routine treatment a singe dose is recommended. How Febantel Praziquantel Pyrantel Tablets Work

Febantel Praziquantel Pyrantel Tablets contain three active ingredients that differ in their mode of action and range of activity. Praziquantel is effective against tapeworms (tapeworms). Praziquantel is absorbed, metabolized in the liver, and excreted via bile. After entering the digestive tract from the bile, it exhibits tapewormicidal activity. After exposure to praziquantel, tapeworms lose their ability to resist digestion by the mammalian host. Therefore, whole tapeworms (including scolex) are rarely excreted after taking praziquantel. In many cases, only broken down and partially digested tapeworm fragments are seen in the feces. Most tapeworms are digested and are not found in the feces.
Pyrantel is effective against hookworms and roundworms. Pyrantel acts on the cholinergic receptors of the nematodes, causing spastic paralysis. Peristaltic action in the intestines subsequently eliminates the parasites.
Febantel is effective against nematode parasites, including whipworms. Febantel is rapidly absorbed and metabolized in animals. Available information suggests that the parasite's energy metabolism is blocked, resulting in disrupted energy exchange and inhibited glucose uptake.
Laboratory efficacy and clinical studies using Febantel Praziquantel Pyrantel Tablets have shown that the three active ingredients work independently and do not interfere with each other. The combination tablet formulation provides a broad range of activity against the indicated intestinal worm species.
