Effect of temperature on feed intake of laying hens
1. Below the optimal temperature:
For every 1°C lower, feed intake increases by 1.5%, and egg weight will increase accordingly.
2. Above optimal stability: for every 1°C increase, feed intake will decrease by 1.1%.
At 20℃~25℃, for every 1℃ increase, feed intake will decrease by 1.3g/bird
At 25℃~30℃, for every 1℃ increase, the feed intake decreases by 2.3g/bird
When >30℃, for every 1℃ increase, feed intake will decrease by 4g/bird
