A few days ago, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released the veterinary drug residue testing of aquatic products in national origin in 2021, the qualified rate of sampling inspection of veterinary drug residues in aquatic products in the country of origin is 99.9%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points year-on-year. Among them, the qualified rate of 35 varieties of aquatic products such as tilapia and prawns reached 100%. The quality and safety level of aquaculture aquatic products continues to improve
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs launched the “2021 National Veterinary Drug Residue Monitoring Plan for Aquatic Products of Origin” in March 2021 and organized local agricultural and rural (fishery) competent departments and relevant aquatic product quality inspection agencies to randomly select 81,500 batches of aquatic products in the breeding area for 7 banned (stopped) drug indicators such as malachite green, chloramphenicol, and ofloxacin. 48 batches of samples from 40 main entities detected prohibited (discontinued) drugs exceeding the standard. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has instructed relevant provinces to investigate and punish cases of illegal use of prohibited (discontinued) drugs in accordance with the law.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs requires all localities to continue to do a good job in the supervision of inputs used in aquaculture, crack down on illegal acts in all aspects, provide guidance on standardized drug use in aquaculture, effectively prevent and control potential quality and safety risks, and make every effort to ensure the edible safety of aquaculture products.
