PROUDUCT DETAILS:
Fenbendazole is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used against gastrointestinal parasites including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, the taenia species of tapeworms, pinworms, aerulostrongylus, paragonimiasis, strongyles and strongyloides.
In cattle and sheep, fenbendazole is active against Dictiocaulus viviparous and also against 4th stage larvae of Ostertagia spp. Fenbendazole also has an ovicide action.Fenbendazole acts by disrupting the the formation of microtubuli by binding to tubulin in the parasitic intestinal cells, preventing absorption of glucose. Fenbendazole is poorly absorbed after oral administration, reaching max after 20 hours in ruminants and more rapidly in monogastics. It is metabolized by the liver, and excreted within 48 hours in the faeces, and only 10% in the urine.
Fenbendazole 22.20 mg/g
100g, 200g, 500g, 1kg, 5kg
1. Cattle:
treatment of infestations by adult and immature forms of gastro-intestinal and respiratory nematodes. Also active against inhibited larvae of Ostertagia spp. and against Moniezia spp. of tapeworms.
2. Sheep:
treatment of infestations by adult and immature forms of gastro-intestinal and respiratory nematodes. Also active against Moniezia spp. and useful but with variable efficacy against Trichuris spp.
3. Horses:
treatment and control of adult and immature stages of gastrointestinal roundworms in horses and other equidae.
4.Pigs:
treatment of infestations by mature and immature nematodes of the gastro-intestinal tract, and control of roundworms in the respiratory tract and their eggs.
1. Standard dose for ruminants and pigs is 5 mg fenbendazole per kg b.w. (=1 g HUNTER 22 per 40 kg b.w.).
