What is the seventh nutrient?
“Protein, fat, sugar, minerals, vitamins and water” are six major nutrients. TroweLL and others put forward the concept
of dietary fiber in the 1970s. Science has proved that cellulose is also one of the essential nutrients for human and
animals. Therefore, it is called the seventh nutrient.
Main Components:
Crude fibers, acid detergent fibers, neutral detergent fibers and acid detergent lignin are 54%, 65%, 83% and 20% in
crude powder form, which can be directly added to feed for granulation.
Selection criteria for lignocellulose
1. Bacterial Fermentation Product Content (BFS)
2. Hydraulic system (WHC)
3. Expansion velocity
4. Crude Fiber Content
5. Bacterial and mycotoxin content
Characteristics
Feature 1
1. High content of crude fibre, low addition, increase nutritional concentration of lactation feed, reduce diarrhea and
body heat problems of piglets.
2. Water can be reabsorbed from the intestine to improve the quantity and quality of milk; feces are not viscous, easy to
empty, no constipation, shorten the delivery time of sows, reduce the production of enterotoxins.
3. Reduce the amount of feces, improve the air quality and reduce the incidence of respiratory diseases.
Feature 2
1. Stimulate sow drinking water, height swelling water holding capacity 1:8; increase sow satiety.
2. Solve the problem of sow constipation fundamentally; avoid the problems caused by long-term use of ionic and
osmotic constipation relievers.
Feature 3
1. The problem of non-ionic equilibrium reduces the occurrence of MMA.
2. No high phosphorus problem; reduce the occurrence of foot and limb disease in sows.
Feature 4
1.The effect of mycotoxin; reduce the risk of abortion.
2. Reduce the addition of mycotoxin adsorbent and avoid the problems caused by long-term addition of mycotoxin
adsorbent.
Case: Nutrient 7 has a significant advantage in replacing bran.
1, the waste of nutrition – bran energy, protein and other nutrients on the surface, in fact, because of the structure of bran
plant cell wall, it is difficult to be digested and used by pigs. The purpose of adding bran is mainly to provide coarse fiber
for moistening the bowels, and the large amount of soluble cellulose in the bran also causes the viscosity of digesta to
increase, which affects the absorption of many nutrients.
2. Disease distress-bran is a by-product of flour production after water. It is easy to get mildewed under the condition of
moisture, nutrition and temperature. Overuse often causes loss of minerals in sows, hypocalcemia, prolonged childbirth,
endometritis, leg*softness and other symptoms. At the same time, the soluble fibers in bran increased the heat of the
fever producer in the posterior intestinal tract, aggravated the problem of heat stress in summer, and seriously affected its
feed intake.
3, the pressure of environmental protection – the indigestible soluble fiber in the bran is excreted with feces, increasing
the amount of feces, providing nutrients for the bacteria, producing a large amount of ammonia, affecting the health of
the respiratory tract of pigs, and increasing the environmental pressure of pig farms.
Nutrient 7 for pigs
Breeding sows: supplement fibre, increase nutritional concentration, SUPER-CONCENTRATE the best fibre source,
occupy less prescription space. Pregnant sows: Enhance satiety, quiet, reduce embryo loss, reduce constipation, remove
toxins in the intestine.
Suckling sows: Improve sow performance, prevent constipation, increase lactation, remove intestinal toxins, reduce the
harm of toxins into milk.
Piglets: Promote the development of digestive organs, alleviate diarrhea and improve the palatability of piglet granules.
Nutrient 7 for poultry
Poultry: significantly promote the development of gastrointestinal tract, reduce pecking addiction and loss.
Broilers:
significantly reduce feed to meat ratio, reduce overfeeding, reduce dead cleaning, ammonia concentration, reduce feather
pecking and heterophagy, input-output ratio of more than 1:4.
Laying hens and breeding hens: reduce feed-egg ratio, improve hatchability and egg quality, improve fecal quality,
increase egg weight, improve muscle-stomach function and egg laying rate.
Nutrient 7 for pigs / poultry
The use of Nutrient 7 I:
(1) The crude fibers such as bran and barley were directly added to substitute feed, and 1:8-10 of bran was replaced. The
formula space was supplemented with corn and soybean meal (85:15).
(2) Pregnant sow feed 0.5-3% (standard crude fiber level (> 6%), sow feed 0.5-1% (standard crude fiber level (> 4%) and
piglet feed 0.5-0.8% (standard crude fiber level (> 2.5%) ensure adequate drinking water.
Use of Nutrient 7 II:
Piglet midwifery powder can absorb amniotic fluid (about 20 seconds per piglet) on the body surface of newborn piglets
quickly and thoroughly, without damaging the skin, no adverse effects on the respiratory tract of piglets, and no
stimulation of pure natural lignocellulose.
